International Journal of Contemporary Security Studies — approved for inclusion in ERIH PLUS
An important milestone for International Journal of Contemporary Security Studies — approved for inclusion in ERIH PLUS!
I am delighted to share that our International Journal of Contemporary Security Studies (IJCSS), published by the Faculty of Security Studies, University of Belgrade, Serbia, has successfully completed the evaluation process and has officially been approved for inclusion in ERIH PLUS.
This achievement marks another important step in the journal’s development and in strengthening its international academic visibility.
IJCSS builds on a scholarly publishing tradition at the Faculty dating back to 1995. Over the years, earlier publications evolved through several titles, becoming the Annual of the Faculty of Security Studies in 2008. In 2022, the title Contemporary Security Studies was introduced alongside a bilingual English–Serbian format, opening the publication to a broader international audience.
In 2025, this tradition entered a new phase with the adoption of the current title, International Journal of Contemporary Security Studies, and a transition to English-language publication with a clear international orientation.
Our approval for inclusion in ERIH PLUS is therefore especially meaningful: it connects a longstanding academic tradition with our ambitions for the journal’s future.
My sincere thanks to all editorial board members, reviewers, authors, and colleagues whose expertise, dedication, and trust have contributed to this progress. We also acknowledge the generations of scholars and editors who helped establish the foundations on which we continue to build.
Together, we look forward to new collaborations, meaningful research, and further progress in expanding the journal’s international reach.
