Journal History and Publication Schedule

International Journal of Contemporary Security Studies (IJCSS) is an online scholarly journal published by the University of Belgrade – Faculty of Security Studies, Serbia. Its confirmed electronic ISSN is 3042-3988.

Current journal identity

The current title is International Journal of Contemporary Security Studies. The authoritative ISSN record identifies the journal as an online serial from Serbia. Authors and readers should use the current title and eISSN when citing, cataloguing or identifying the journal.

Institutional publishing tradition

IJCSS continues the Faculty’s academic publishing tradition in security studies. Earlier institutional publications and earlier titles form part of that tradition but should not automatically be treated as the same bibliographic title. Citation and library records should preserve the title, year, volume, issue and identifier printed on each publication.

Publication schedule

IJCSS publishes two issues each year and follows a continuous or rolling publication model within each issue. Issue 1 covers January–June and Issue 2 covers July–December. An article may be published online once editorial and production requirements are complete.

Authoritative publication date

The authoritative publication date is the date on which the Version of Record becomes publicly available with its final citation metadata. Once published, its DOI, year, volume, issue, pagination or article identifier and publication date must not be silently changed.
